Record Store Day @ Technique & Sweat Records

Miami celebrated Record Store Day and the pop and crackle of vinyl all day Saturday, April 21. Local shops like Technique and Sweat Records opened early to allow patrons to peruse their collections and hear a live mix of analog sounds. Diplo made an appearance at Technique Records late afternoon to sign copies of his new album California which dropped about a month ago. Shot for Miami New Times.

Sweat Records opened early on Saturday, April 26, to celebrate the tenth anniversary of Record Store Day. Inside, they kept classic albums spinning all day while food truck favorites Ms. Cheezious and Ipek's Wykked Kitchen parked curbside to feed the vinyl-hunrgry crowd. As it got dark the party moved next door to Churchill's Pub for a lineup of local acts on the stage accompanied by projection art.
