Miami's third-annual queer festival Wigwood docked a yacht off Biscayne Bay on Friday, February 1, for its first night of drag festivities this year out on the open water. On Saturday, February 2, the event returned to Gramps in Wynwood for night two featuring local and visiting acts Queef Latina, Hairy Bradshaw, Ms. Toto, Kunst, Merrie Cherie, MILK, Abhora, Dorian Electra, and MTHR TRSA.
Wigwood wrapped up its weekend festivities at the Broken Shaker on Sunday, February 4, with a warm afternoon of crafted cocktails, bbq grill bites, and lounging by the pool with queer family.
The second-annual Wigwood Queer Festival returned to Miami for a weekend of live performances, local vendors, panels, and a place to party in a safe, inclusive space. Friday night kicked off at the Scottish Rite Temple downtown featuring major headliners Thorgy of RuPaul's Drag Race, Victoria Elizabeth Black of Dragula, Sateen, Evah Destruction, Imp Queen, and a perfomance from local icon Queef Latina. Saturday night returned to Gramps Wynwood for a lineup of Miami's finest including Miss Toto, Jupiter Velvet, Dang-ho Yu Sickning, Poorgrrrl, and many others. The first-ever Wigwood queer festival invaded Gramps on Saturday, February 4, with an eccentric lineup of local queens, visiting acts from New York and L.A., plus music, panel discussions and a live auction. The all-day affair filled the bar, patio, and back stage room to comfortable capacity with a glittery mix of platform shoes and gender fluid characters drinking and dancing between rowdy sets of performances.
