The National Hotel got wet and wild on Saturday, May 20, for Aqua Girl's annual Aqualicious pool party fundraiser benefitting LGBTQ rights in South Florida. Women from all over the country met in Miami to chill poolside, drink, dance and party for a cause. Slideshow for Miami New Times.

Record Store Day / Sweat Records
Sweat Records opened early on Saturday, April 26, to celebrate the tenth anniversary of Record Store Day. Inside, they kept classic albums spinning all day while food truck favorites Ms. Cheezious and Ipek's Wykked Kitchen parked curbside to feed the vinyl-hunrgry crowd. As it got dark the party moved next door to Churchill's Pub for a lineup of local acts on the stage accompanied by projection art. Slideshow for Miami New Times.
Bartschland Pride Kickoff / Basement
Suzanne Bartsch hosted a tropical carnival-themed Pride edition of Gio's Total Split Show party at Basement on Friday, April 7 with special guest Otto von Schirach. Glitter KRU sponsored the sparkles and local queens Queef Latina & Jupiter Velvet made appearances on the rainbow bowling alley, including a run in with Nev Schulman from MTV's Catfish: The TV Show. Get Lost / Little River Studios
Get Lost returned to Little River Studios on Saturday, March 25 for its second 24-hour electro getdown during Miami Music Week. They maintained the same colorful, bohemian aesthetic as last year across an assortment of small, wooden houses with four stages carved out in between: two outdoors, and two inside the glowing warehouse. Scattered showers broke up the crowd a couple times throughout the day, but the party resurfaced as skies cleared into the glowing night. Slideshow for Miami New Times.
