Noche de Brujas / Faena Forum
Noche de Brujas brewed a powerful evening of experimental, interdisciplinary magic performed by a woman-focused lineup of local and visiting artists on Friday, March 23, at Faena Forum. The main floor remained open for attendees to fill in around an architectural orb in the center, each performer finding a unique way to inhabit this living altar while projections engulfed the surrounding walls. Carnaval Street Fest / Calle Ocho
On Sunday, March 11, Little Havana was brimming with live music, dancing, Latin pride, and authentic street food for Carnaval Miami's annual Calle Ocho Street Festival. Miami's iconic Eighth Street was closed to traffic from SW 12th to 27th Avenues as local vendors and stages lined the blocks with cold drinks, grilled delicacies and rhythmic sounds to satisfy a hungry crowd in the afternoon heat.
